Giving Thanks to God

With copies of Gracee's referral photos tucked in our wallets, pockets, and purses, we continue to be amazed at God's grace in allowing us to expand our family with this beautiful little girl from Beng, Anhui Province (PRC). We can barely take our eyes off our new daughter's photographs and our prayers have grown even more earnst for her. We are confident that this is God's will for us and are so very excited. Everyone in the family is anxious to begin serious preparations for the trip to China to bring our little girl home to her "forever family." Standing by ... for the next step in Gracee's Big Adventure.

We Received Our Referral

Gracee's big adventure took an exciting turn yesterday, as we learned her identity and her hometown. We officially received our referral today for Beng Chun Ying (BD: Feb. 11, 2004), who is in the Anhui province of the People's Republic of China. As of her medical exam in early March of this year, she was approximately 19 lbs. and 28 inches tall.

The province of Anhui is in the central eastern region of China. We anticipate traveling to her orphanage (BengPu Children's Welfare Institute) this July to bring her home, just over a year after we began the Spirit-led process of adopting. Our documents were officially logged in by the Chinese government on Nov. 5, 2004.

We are grateful to God for His grace and mercy in allowing us grow our family with this very precious little girl, Grace Eliza. Stay tuned for more frequent updates to Gracee's Big Adventure!
