Thank you for praying...

Gracee was diagnosed with an infected lymph gland last week. Unfortunately the 'swelling' of the gland has not diminished a week later and the pediatrician has ordered CAT scan to determine what is going on. We are glad that she is feeling well and eating good. We appreciate your prayers for her (and us) as she undergoes this procedure and whatever treatment is prescribed to relieve this problem. It could mean an overnight stay in the hospital. We don't know, but we are confident that God does and that He is in control. Thank you for remembering little Gracee in this difficult part of her Big Adventure.

She is the star of our family! What a sweetheart. We are so blessed! Posted by Picasa

School Time Vocabulary

Already working hard during school time, Gracee is shocked to hear the class will be having a vocabulary pop quiz. And to think she hadn't ever heard English before last August. You might be interested to hear some of Gracee's special vocabulary: "gog" (dog); "goo" (her brother, Drew); "be" (as in belly, also says "abs"); "peas" (please); "dead dog" (Thank you. You have to say it very quickly). Many of her words are very clear: "cup," "neck," "pops" (as in the cereal),"ball," "bird," "cat," "yellow," "snack," "Niles," and "Anna." She doesn't say her own name, but now, when asked, "Where is Gracee?" She will point to herself.  Posted by Picasa

As the NFL playoffs wind down for this season, it seems Gracee can't believe that the odds-on favorite to capture the Super Bowl, the Indianapolis Colts, fell yesterday to the Steelers. "Wow," she said. "Who saw that coming? Surely not Peyton Manning!" Gracee's team, the Tennessee Titans, bowed out early--much to her chagrin. But...wait 'til next year, she says hopefully. Posted by Picasa
