Already working hard during school time, Gracee is shocked to hear the class will be having a vocabulary pop quiz. And to think she hadn't ever heard English before last August. You might be interested to hear some of Gracee's special vocabulary: "gog" (dog); "goo" (her brother, Drew); "be" (as in belly, also says "abs"); "peas" (please); "dead dog" (Thank you. You have to say it very quickly). Many of her words are very clear: "cup," "neck," "pops" (as in the cereal),"ball," "bird," "cat," "yellow," "snack," "Niles," and "Anna." She doesn't say her own name, but now, when asked, "Where is Gracee?" She will point to herself.
